With its administrative headquarters in São Paulo, Argo operates nine electricity transmission concessions across states in Brazil’s North, Northeast, Central-West, and Southeast regions (Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, and Rondônia). As part of the SIN – National Interconnected System, our assets contribute to the stability and flexibility of Brazil’s electrical grid. In addition, due to the strategic location of Argo’s assets, we play a key role in connecting renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, to the SIN.
Infrastructure Designed for the Energy Transition
Currently, we are responsible for the operation and maintenance of nine concessions for a 30-year term, all of which are fully operational. Our infrastructure plays a particularly important role in transmitting energy generated from renewable sources located in Brazil’s North and Northeast regions.

Our assets are strategically located near renewable energy generation sources, in areas with high potential for hosting large energy consumers, such as green hydrogen hubs and data centers. This privileged position places us at the forefront of consistently contributing to the energy transition and the expansion of Brazil’s transmission grid.
Transmission System Operations Center
Located in the city of São Paulo (SP), the Transmission System Operations Center (COS) plays a fundamental role in ensuring the safety and quality of our operations.
To strengthen and safeguard technical knowledge and prepare our team for potential incidents, all COS operators regularly participate in simulated training sessions, both internal and those conducted by the National Electric System Operator (ONS).
In addition, our teams regularly undergo certification processes based on continuous training and refresher programs, ensuring the maintenance of operational excellence, people’s safety, and alignment with the sector’s best practices.
To ensure the continuity of our operations, we also maintain a regional backup center in Parnaíba, in the state of Piauí, and we have infrastructure for remote operation. This second contingency can be activated from any location in the event of unavailability of both the primary COS and the backup center.
Operation and Maintenance Model
To keep our infrastructure operating at the highest levels of reliability, we conduct a comprehensive annual assessment of all concession assets. This practice allows us to anticipate actions related to asset performance, ensuring greater efficiency in planning and resource management.
At the same time, we have implemented continuous improvements in our internal processes, such as the use of autonomous drones, artificial intelligence solutions, and real-time monitoring of unusual parameters in substation equipment.
These initiatives strengthen the robustness of our infrastructure, contributing to high availability rates and ensuring quality in the provision of electricity transmission services.
In this context, we have adopted a hybrid Operation and Maintenance (O&M) model. Through this approach, the operation and maintenance of substations remain under the responsibility of our own teams, while the maintenance of transmission lines is carried out by highly specialized third-party companies.
This model offers a range of strategic and operational benefits:
-
Greater control and quality in service execution, through the work of a dedicated in-house team exclusively focused on substations.
-
Enhanced safety on transmission lines, with the support of a specialized in-house inspection team and reduced response time in emergency situations.
-
Increased economic and financial feasibility, as it is a solution aligned with long-term cost and expense projections.
Our structure incorporates the most advanced technologies, processes, and practices, and we continuously prepare our teams to perform at the highest level.
We are investing in the installation of weather stations to analyze climate impacts on our assets. Applying meteorological data intelligence will enable us to improve operations, define protection strategies, and mitigate future risks.
In addition, our teams undergo frequent training to acquire and enhance knowledge and skills related to maintenance activities. This ensures that we can respond quickly and safely to asset demands, technological complexity, and climate challenges.
